Shipping Notice!
All orders are shipped out once a week on WEEKENDS (Friday, Satuday or Sunday). It depends on whether I have to work overtime. Please be aware of time zone difference and do not email me questions like "I placed an order Friday / Saturday (xx-xx-2007) and why isn't my order shipped out the next day?"
I try to ship out orders asap however, sometimes there's various problems that cause the delay. Please do not compare the service to well established online stores. I try to solve the problems and reply emails asap, but I do have a lot of other things in life to do.
I apologize for the long wait. I hope it doesn't cause any troubles in the transactions.

Update
I'm really sorry but I haven't been reguarly visiting this store in the past month or more. I've been busy preparing for an exam which is on Dec 6. I realized that I have not paid much (if any) attention to this store in the past months. Therefore, this store will be temporarily on holiday until after the exam. If I see that there's orders, I'll still ship out but I will not be checking emails until after the exam. I'll be re-contructing this store during the holidays and might be adjusting and or adding some new products end of this year or early next year.

Changes!?
It has been a long time since the last update. Economy is going down, and business has been slow (sometimes very slow). I'm thinking I might have to close this store this year. Just joking!
The truth is.... both my friend in China and I have been working day and night for our F/T job, which sometimes extended into a OT as well. Time is tough and employers cut down on the labour and we have to do more work!! It is getting quite exhausting to work a F/T + NO PAY OT + running an online store. Also, my friend is quite unfamiliar with the products and sometimes takes quite a while for her to figure out what to ship out. I definitely do not want to drain her last bit of energy after work to help me ship and package at night.
We have not yet decided what to do, and in the meantime, we're still keeping this site up and running. However, please forgive me if I do not get back to your email immediately (I only check this email like 1-3 times a week now). If there's anything wrong with the order you receive, please email me and we could work something out.
I'll try my best to not close the site down because this is the only "project" that I had not abandoned within the first year. I really do treasure this (esp. back in the days when I was still in college~) site and hopefully I could bring more JE and cute items to outside Japan. =)

I'm Back!
It's been almost a month and a half since I came back to Canada! It's been a week after Chinese New Year Holiday and I've restocked some things from my suppliers. Hopefully there'll be new items coming out soon but that's dependent on my suppliers.
Things should be running a lot smoother now since my friend in China and my shipper is more familiar with the new way things work. Sorry for all the delay in the past 2-3 months. Too much was going on in my life.
I'll start to take Western Union and other email orders again. (Sorry for neglecting some emails in the past months~ =P) and again, thank you everyone for all your support!!

Happy New Year!
Hello everybody!! I've moved back from China to Canada!! In the past 2-3 weeks, tones of stuff happened and it's really hectic!!! There's a few announcements and hope this would be for the better!!
1. During my move, I think I lost quite a few items!!! >.< I'm still trying to figure out what I lost (mostly small earrings and small plushese) and I'll update the inventory asap!!
2. I found a nice person (my ex-coworker) who'll continue to ship out from China for me!!! yeah~~~ so there's not gonna be any shipping fee increases for accessories!! wohoo!!
3. In order to lower the shipping fee to North America (sorry everyone else), I've brought magazines, plushes etc back to Canada! Therefore, for magazines and plushes' shipping rates, I'll see how I could fix it online!! Fedex option will soon be available for these!!!
4. Chinese New Year will be in Jan this year!! Post office will (again...) be closed for like 2 weeks???! I'll find out the exact date of the closure and will update again!!

Blocked!?
Unfortunately, my website service provider (netfirms) has been blocked in China since a bit over a month ago. I don't know why because this is just normal commercial webpage hosting site. That's why I haven't been able to update customers order status since a month ago. Right now, I'm making my b/f to do it for me. >.< Sorry for the inconvenience!
I'll be leaving China soon!!! That means......
1. I could update this site again.
2. There might be changes in shipping rates after I'm back in Canada.
3. I might be closing this site down.....
Hopefully it'll not be the last option. I mean... it's quite fun to own this little shop and it's kinda a shame to close it down after operating it for over 2 years!!! I'm still thinking of the most economical method to operate this!! Will update once I make a decision!!
Lastly, it's almost Christmas!!!! I know everyone's probably busy planning their dates or reviewing for exams.... but just want to remind everyone.... HOLIDAY SHIPPING TAKES A LONG TIME!!!! Hello everybody! I've received numerous emails since my last post to wish me well. I'm so touched and thank everyone! I've been extremely busy after I got back to work because I missed more than a week of work!! >< I've been shipping out stuff in the past 2 weeks but haven't had time to update all order status yet! I promise I'll do that asap! There might be some mistakes in the inventory and I'll manually edit them as well in the next few days when I have time.
There's been a few new Akanishi Jin items arriving. I'll be updating them as well. There's been a few requests for the Hanadan Saturn necklace, and I've talked to my supplier. They said it's tough because there's too many replicas of Nana saturn necklace and Westwood necklaces and so many chinese girls get those instead and they don't see a market for the Hanadan saturn necklace. I'll still keep an eye out.

Holiday Announcement!
It's been a while since the last update. No wonder there're people inquiring whether the store is still active from time to time. Anywayz, I would like to thank everyone who's been supporting Simply Tofu in the past 2 yrs! To my surprise, Simply Tofu has been running for 2 years and 3 months already!! Very surprised that even though I've not promoted this site at all in the past 2 yrs, dedicated JE fans would still find their way here! The power of JE. (O_O)
Anywayz, it's the annual China National Day holiday again! From my understanding, post office will be closed from Sept 29 - Oct 7, 2008!!! I'll be heading back to Canada for holiday as well. Therefore, I'll make a few shipments before that. I'll make sure all orders to be shipped out before the holiday, if not, I'll email each customer!

FAQ and shipment update!
It's not really an update but more like I've created a payment and shipping FAQ. Lately I received many emails regarding similar questions, so I've made a FAQ. Please go to the shipping section or the payment method section to find the answers. If it hasn't answered your questions, then please email me.
I would also like to apologize to customers who placed an order in Feburary. Lately I received many emails regarding shipments not received. I've consulted with my courier company and they admited that after Chinese New Year, due to lack of staff, some of the packages were not shipped out until almost a week after I handed to them. They promised that they are back on track now and things like that would not happen again. I apologize for all the shipments delay. Please email me if there's problems with your shipment. I'll keep my eyes out and if this company continue to postpone my shipments, then I'll start looking for a new company.

The problem with shopping cart has been resolved. It's that my internet service provider blocked it somehow. Important Updates!
Happy belated New Year! A few updates regarding business lately!
- Due to unsual weather conditions in Shanghai (snow storm??) airport was closed yesterday and many couriers are having significant delay. Shipments made this week and last weekend might be delayed!
- For some odd reasons, my internet service at home has been having trouble accessing foreign website such as gmail, paypal and netfirms. I've been replying emails at work but making significant updates on this site is somehow difficult. I've had some updates done at home and will upload them during lunch.
- My lovely Fujifilm camera was accidentally dropped onto the floor and now suffered internal damage! In other words, I could not take any pictures lately! I'll see how good my phone camera works because there are a few new items lately!
- There'll be a few Valentine Limited Edition Hannari Tofu uploaded onto the site!!! These tofus came in 2 weeks ago but I didn't have the time to put them online! It took me quite some time to pursuade my supplier to give me some!
- Tofu and DKNY bag weight needs to be corrected! They're not as heavy as stated online and I've been refunding people! I'm still in the process the people who bought these in the past 2-3 weeks so please be patient! I'll have the weight updated asap!
- Last and most important!! CHINESE NEW YEAR is coming! Which means.... post office will be CLOSED from Feb 04, 2008 - Feb 14, 2008! A good 10 days of holidays!! Don't ask me why they have such long holidays because I don't understand that myself! Shipments will NOT be made during this time. Please take note of that!

Important Shipping Notice!
It's come to my concern that China Post shipping could be quite slow lately. Many of the US packages shipped out on Oct arrives USA within 2 weeks while many Nov packages have been delayed. I'm also awared of the fact that after I hand over the packages to the shipping service company, sometimes it takes up to 2-3 business days for them to sent over to the post office. They said they dispatches EMS (Express) packages daily but Airmail is lower priority. (Apparantly China Post has a higher priotiy Airmail service! Which of course charges more!)
As for Christmas shipping deadline, there's no information on the website regarding deadlines because there's NO Christmas holiday in China!! Hong Kong Post Office's guideline is that packages sent out BEFORE Dec 10, 2007 should arrive before Christmas. Therefore, I'll try to ship out all orders receive this week before next Monday!

Another update!
It's been like a month since I updated this site. The store is still running actually, but then I haven't had time to update any of the new product. Was a little behind in update due to many many reasons (esp. when my camera battery charger does NOT work with 220V).
Hopefully my life will be back on track soon so I could put more focus onto Simply TOFU.
IMPORTANT UPDATE regarding HANNARI TOFU
It's been confirmed that my current Hannari Tofu supplier will NOT carry the Hannari Tofu products anymore. I've asked around (many thx to my friend in HK) and found another person who's willing to sell me Hannari Tofu. HOWEVER, the price is higher (or quite higher) than expected. I'm still digging around for lower cost Hannari Tofu and I have taken in all the leftover Hannari Tofu from my previous supplier. All the large size Tofu was sold out. Received 3 tissue case, 6 medium pillow, 1 extra-large pillow and 1 long pillow. Will update soon.
